Engineering Assistant

As a result of PlM’s continuing success and strong pipeline of work, we are looking for an Engineering Assistant to join our team.

This role is to be based in our office in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to;

  • Responsible for supporting administration of inspection plans and workpack tracking.
  • Interface with Team Planner / Scheduler to ensure visibility of all planned workscopes.
  • Sole responsibility for building inspection workpacks to completion for review by Independent Asset Integrity Engineer (IAIE).
  • Responsible for management of inspection data and updating relevant registers.
  • Review and administration of inspection data and reports as a first pass where required.
  • Administration of registers, P&ID sets, corrosion circuits, PFD’s etc.
  • Preparation of Monthly Integrity Report for respective asset.
  • Interaction with Team Planner with regard to mobilisation / demobilisation activities.
  • Preparation and administration of CTRs with respect to execution of planned and ad-hoc workscopes
  • Preparation of annual budget submission.
  • Confirmation and verification of vendor invoicing with regard to duration and completion of work and variations in PO values.
  • General support to the Inspection & Integrity Management team.
  • Effective and efficient data and information management, including records, registers and databases.

THE CANDIDATE

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Highers / A Levels or equivalent essential.
  • HNC in an Engineering discipline or technology or equivalent preferred (but not essential).
  • Microsoft Office applications Word & Excel.

(Access a distinct advantage)

  • 2D Computer Aided Drafting.
  • 2 + years’ experience of office environment and working practices.

Further education, potentially to degree level, will be made available for the right candidates.
